About ScalePass

Two operators. One way of working.

ScalePass is three years old. The way of working behind it is not. It is what Techops learnt deploying and running infrastructure since 2000, distilled into one offer and run by the two people who build every environment and answer for the result.

Who you deal with

The people who build it are the people you speak to.

There is no account team between you and the work. One of us runs the engagement, the other runs the infrastructure, and you have both from the first conversation to handover.

Engagement and operations

Jeremy Lloyd

Runs the engagement end to end. The consulting work of understanding what you are trying to achieve, the coordination that keeps a deployment moving, and the day-to-day decisions that stop things stalling. Stands up, troubleshoots and customises each deployment around the particulars of your situation.

Infrastructure and security

Leon Mario

Fifteen years as a systems administrator. Handles the low-level infrastructure, the engineering projects, the security and the systems architecture behind every environment we deploy, so what you are handed is built to be run.

Where it comes from

Twenty-six years of infrastructure. One offer, three years old.

ScalePass was not designed on a whiteboard. It is the shape the work had already taken.

Techops since 2000, the ScalePass offer since 2023A timeline from 2000 to 2026. Techops has traded since 2000, standing up and running infrastructure for businesses. The ScalePass offer was born in 2023 from that experience, and the way of working carries across the whole span.TECHOPS: INFRASTRUCTURE STOOD UP, RUN AND REPAIREDSCALEPASS200020232026Techops begins tradingThe ScalePass offer is born from what was learntTodayOne way of working across the whole line: diagnose first, keep what works, write down what was built.
Since 2000
Techops has stood up, run and repaired the infrastructure that businesses depend on: hosting, domains, email, identity, systems and the fixes when they fail.
What kept repeating
The same gap in every business we worked in. Good tools, no operating environment. Nobody owned the record, handoffs lived in inboxes and nothing was written down.
ScalePass, 2023
That experience turned into one offer: the audit, the Blueprint, the deployment and the managed layers, so a business gets the environment rather than another subscription.

Principles

How we work, in six lines.

Each one is a promise you can hold us to during an engagement.

The thinking these six come from is set out in the manifesto.

Diagnose before prescribing
We start with your systems, workflows, owners and handoffs, not with a product to sell.
Keep useful systems
Specialist tools that do their job stay. Nothing is replaced for a tidier stack.
Own weak layers selectively
We build a component only where no suitable system exists and control justifies it.
Agree the scope, then build
Every phase has a written scope and a written sign-off, so you always know what is being built.
Document operating reality
Procedures, maps and access records describe how the work actually runs, and they are yours at handover.
Measure what matters
Activity is not progress. We separate clicks and tickets from the outcomes you care about.

What you will not find here

We let the work carry the claim.

No testimonials, and no outcome figures we cannot stand behind. What we deploy is described in full, and one real deployment is described with the client's permission.

Start

Talk to the people who will build it.

Describe how work moves today. One of us reads it and replies with a written view of what to fix first, free.
